The Dinosaur Truckers

Into the red speed range.

Folkpunk with the power of dinosaurs.

Into the horizon with unbroken force.

Motörhead's energy, Hank Williams' blues, Calexico's expanses, Townes van Zandt's tragedy – put them all together and thrash them through a chopper, mix ‚em up with the Avett Brothers' charme and you're as close as you can get to a description of this fine combo.
If you've ever seen them play live you'll start to sweat just by hearing their name. The energy the four guys spread playing banjo, mandolin, steel guitar and upright bass is just too contagious.
Thereby they leave no doubt that playing a banjo doesn't necessarily mean playing country music and nobody wants to hear another song about a Wild West town you've never seen and bootleged whiskey you've never drunk.
After hundreds of shows and two released CDs - "Songs For Homefolks" (2008) and "Down This Road" (2009) – The Dinosaur Truckers now come up with a self entitled new album that will be released April 26th 2013 on off label records.
On some of the 13 self-penned tracks they are supported by, among others, Bela B as an additional musician on drums and percussion.
Just as every gig forces steaming atmo, dozens of snapped strings and dripping sweat, on their new album The Dinosaur Truckers make sure you're aware that unfathomable landscapes, infinite expanses and the only true Folkpunk heaven are just a door away...
